The Friends of Ithaca College cordially invite you to the 2017 Founder’s Day Concert in the Park.
This year’s program, “A Tip of the Hat to Patrick Conway and His Famous Band,” pays tribute to a prominent musician with Ithaca roots who became one of the most famous bandleaders of the early 20th century. Conductor Christopher Hughes will lead the IC Wind Ensemble through some favorites, including works by Vaughan Williams, Holst, Shostakovich, Vivaldi, Sibelius – and Conway himself.
Grab a blanket or chair and head to the park to mingle with friends, enjoy complimentary refreshments, celebrate IC’s 125th anniversary, and delight in band music presented the old-fashioned way. There’s no charge, and all ages are welcome!
For more information about the concert, and requests for accomodations, please contact Jessica Fernando at 274-3545 or jfernando@ithaca.edu. You can learn more about the Friends of Ithaca College on their website, ithaca.edu/friends.
