Spend your fall break doing volunteer service with other IC students on an Alternative Fall Break trip! Students will have a choice of assisting with animal care at the Mid-Atlantic Border Collie Rescue in Chestertown, Maryland, or volunteer at The Food Bank of Western NY, in Buffalo, NY. Trips will take place from Wednesday, October 18th after classes end through Saturday, October 21st.

Space is limited, so fill out your application here today! There is also an opportunity to be a participant-leader.

Alternative Breaks Program is sponsored by the Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs (OSEMA) that provides service opportunities for students who successfully apply for participation at a variety of sites across the eastern United States. Alternative Breaks are held during the fall, spring, and summer breaks in order to give students the chance to gain personal and professional growth through direct volunteer experience, place-based learning, and teamwork.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Don Austin at austin@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
