Each fall during Latino Heritage Month, film lovers of all ages gather in Ithaca for upstate New York's premiere Latin American film festival: Cine con Cultura Latinx American Film Festival.

2017 marks our fourth annual celebration of Latin@ American filmmakers from all over the continent, and we are so proud to announce our official festival selection for this year, which includes critically-acclaimed and award-winning films from eleven different countries. Some are brand new, some are from a few years ago, and all of them provide a different glimpse into life throughout Latin America.

We are also thrilled to have expanded our festival this year: in addition to our longtime partners Cinemapolis, we are also teaming up with Ithaca College, the Greater Ithaca Activities Center (GIAC), the Committee on U.S.-Latin American Relations (CUSLAR), the Tompkins County Immigrants Rights Coalition (TCIRC), the Rocky Acres Farm (with Rafael Aponte), the Multicultural Resource Center, No más lagrimas, and Cornell Cinema to host selected festival screenings.

Festival screenings will take place several times a week from Tuesday, September 19th, 2017 through Sunday, October 15th, 2017. There will be a total of 12 films shown this year, more than ever before, with a wide ranging selection of shorts, feature-length films and documentaries. We are also planning other related events for festival-goers this year, including live music, talkbacks with filmmakers, a student film contest with cash prizes, ticket giveaways, and more.
