As you begin to consider you housing plan for next academic year, please be aware that due to an increased number of campus housing vacancies this fall semester the Office of Residential Life expects to release only a  limited number of non-seniors to live off-campus next year.

As a result some of the rising juniors who apply to live off-campus, may not be approvedStudents should not sign any leases unless they are officially approved to move off campus by the Office of Residential Life. Students not approved for off-campus release will be placed on an off-campus wait list. It is possible that circumstances could allow for additional off-campus releases in the spring or summer, but also equally possible that like this past year, students on the wait list do not receive off-campus approval. Please consult the Ithaca College residency policy at https://www.ithaca.edu/attorney/policies/vol7/Volume_7-70501.htm#TopofPage.

Applications will be accepted by the Office of Residential Life for the off-campus wait list beginning October 30, 2017.  Applications will be considered as we continue to assess the number of students living in on campus housing, therefore there is no guarantee that applying will result in an off-campus release.  Students on the wait list will be prioritized by the date and time of the last piece of the application received.

Remember to not sign any leases or make any commitments to off-campus living without written permission from the Office of Residential Life.

More information regarding the off-campus application process will be available mid to late October.
