The Campus Affairs Committee (CAC) is looking for students passionate about student affairs and campus life issues at Ithaca College! CAC is an ad-hoc committee of the Student Governance Council and is seeking nominations for students at large.
Students who are a part of this committee will work together to investigate and address student concerns other than those that are academic (especially those in Ithaca College’s Student Affairs and Campus Life division). The committee will be reviewing and drafting new legislation on campus issues, policies, and events that affect the Student Body. Students interested in residential life, student athletics, multicultural affairs, student organizations, and the many other facets of campus affairs are great candidates.
Students at large can either be nominated by another student, faculty, or staff member or self-nominate themselves. This is a biweekly obligation starting Wednesday October 11th from 2:00-3:00pm. To be eligible for the committee, students MUST be available for these meetings, with the exception of one excused absence.
To nominate a student, please send the student’s name and Ithaca email address to sgccampusaffairs@ithaca.edu with “CAC Nomination” in the subject line.
To self-nominate, you can go straight to the application form on OrgSync: https://orgsync.com/87832/forms/283268
The deadline for this application is 11:59pm on Thursday October 5th. The SGC Vice President of Campus Affairs will review submissions and recommend 10 students to SGC senators to be voted on at the Monday October 9th meeting. Students will be notified if they have been recommended onward by 10:00pm on Friday October 6th.
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Anna Gardner at sgccampusaffairs@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
