Join us for an Info Session THIS FRIDAY: Paid Family Leave Benefits for Contingent Faculty Friday, October 6th, 2:00 - 2:50 PM Center for Health Sciences (CHS) 202
Dear Contingent Faculty,
Before you communicate with your Chair/Director about your availability for work in 2018, we want you to be aware of new benefits available to private sector workers in 2018. Starting January 1, 2018, the New York State Paid Family Leave Program (NYPFL) will provide private sector employees working in New York state with job-protected, paid family leave for parents and other caretakers.
What does the new law provide?
Who can take these benefits?
If you are - or expect to be - a new parent, have a family member with a serious health condition, have a spouse in the military, or just want to learn more about this new program, we invite you to join us for an Informational Session to learn more about how to take advantage of these new state-wide benefits!
