LGBT History Month Continues

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) History Month is celebrated in October.  In observance of LGBT History Month, the LGBT Center website will feature videos highlighting different historical figures who have made a difference in the LGBT community.  Visit the LGBT Center website's LGBT History Month Featured Videos section to find a new video each day of October. Here are some figures who will be highlighted in the coming days:

October 12: Edythe Eyde, Gay Publishing Pioneer
October 13: Eric Fanning, Secretary of the Army
October 14: Alicia Garza, Black Lives Matter Cofounder
October 15: Mary Douglas Glasspool, Episcopal Bishop
October 16: Karl Gorath, Auschwitz Survivor
October 17: Lorraine Hansberry, Playwright and Activist

October 18: Taiga Ishikawa, Japanese Politician
October 19: Caitlyn Jenner, Olympian and Activist
October 20: Marsha P. Johnson, Stonewall Veteran
October 21: Alain Locke, Father of the Harlem Renaissance
