Career Services is excited to welcome two new staff: Cheryl Rotyliano and Sonia Herman who began in October. They come to us with higher ed experience in Career Services and Academic Advising. Their roles include providing career coaching for students and alumni, planning big events, presenting to student groups, and helping develop our Career Community and Identity Affinity models. Please join us in welcoming Cheryl and Sonia to IC!
Cheryl is thrilled to be part of the IC community! She joins us having worked in Career Services at The University of Texas at El Paso and Lafayette College. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Le Moyne College and a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Drexel University. Cheryl is passionate about helping students use all of the resources available to them and helping to develop mindfulness, both in and out of their career development process. She also has a small craft business and loves making things, doing DIY projects, and upcycling.
Sonia Herman was an international student from Jakarta, Indonesia. She moved to the U.S. based on a full-tuition scholarship from the University of Oregon (UO), which also allowed her to be a country ambassador of Indonesia in the Oregon community. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Sonia worked in Career Services and Academic Advising at UO, and interned for the Career Services Institute of the West. During her free time, she loves to travel and learn about other cultures. In fact, she is a third culture kid who has lived in three different countries.
