As the recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October winds down, the Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management wants our community members to know that help is here all year round.
You can contact Public Safety at 607-274-3333 or on Farm Pond Road if you want to formally report something or just want support and guidance on the options available to you. We are here for you 24/7/365.
Our great partners at the Advocacy Center in Ithaca have trained advocates who can work with individuals experiencing any form of intimate partner violence. They also maintain a support hotline available at 607-277-5000.
IC's Title IX Coordinator and Deputy Coordinators are a key resource in the support network available at Ithaca College. They can assist with incidents of domestic violence as well as sexual harassment, sexual violence, and discrimination based on gender or sexual identity. The Title IX office can be found on the Garden Level of the Peggy Ryan Williams Center.
If you are looking for support or need a question answered, but are concerned about talking to someone locally due to privacy or confidentiality concerns, the National Domestic Violence Hotline is available at all times at 1-800-799-7233.
Domestic violence prevention is not a one-month issue. Please know that at all times there is care and support available at Ithaca College, whether from Public Safety or from other great allies on and off campus.
