Professor Tom Pfaff has published an article entitled, "The need for slower administrators" in the October 31, 2017 issue of Inside Higher Ed. The article argues for an approach to college administration analogized to the "Slow Food Movement." A less harried and frenetically "busy" administration might be able to make richer human contacts with students, faculty, and staff. That, in turn, might help mitigate the alienation that is such a common feature of the modern academy. https://www.insidehighered.com/views/2017/10/31/why-campus-administrators-should-slow-down-essay
