Workshop with Award Winning Composer and Producer John Nau

The workshop will be split into two 90 minute segments:
First half: being a composer and music supervisor for films like Danka (2017), Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013), Bachelorette (2012), Sleeping with Other People (2015)

Second half: composing commercials, for Superbowl, Working w agencies, etc..

Nau Bio:

A native of southern California, he plays piano, organ, guitar, flute, and has been a professional musician since age 19 (that equals 35 years)

John grew up in a household that fostered his creativity and opened his mind to where his music career would eventually lead. This path moves from garage bands to musical theatre, jazz and latin bands, to musical director for the ESPY awards live telecast and playing keys on multi platinum records; Hootie and The Blowfish and James Blunt among the most notable.

John has traveled the globe playing music and for the last 16 years has settled at Beacon Street Studios where he composes for film, television and commercials with business and musical partner Andrew Feltenstein.

Located on Abbot Kinney Blvd in Venice, CA , John and Andrew formed the company with the intention of composing music for television commercials they have since composed music for thousands of spots in a highly competitive market, some that have gone on to earn Clio awards and Emmy’s.
