Alex Pinto, Post-Doctoral Teaching Fellow at Department of Chemistry, published a paper entitled “Controlling Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) phase in microwave solvothermal synthesis” at Journal of Materials Chemistry A.
This paper describes part of the research developed by Alex during his PhD studies, where he worked on the development of a new method using microwaves to prepare the compound Cu2ZnSnS4, known by the acronym CZTS. This material has potential to substitute the silicon on solar cells in a more cost-effective way.
