Daliah Husu is an Author, Poet, Entrepreneur, Beauty Professional and Blogger, whose work focuses on self-empowerment, and spiritual and emotional fulfillment. Her lifelong struggle with gender identity, sexuality, social acceptance, and substance abuse inspired her to share her remarkable story of survival in her memoir, 'I Am Woman'.
Join Ithaca College's Queer Studies class as we host Daliah Husu on November 28th at 5:30PM in Clark Lounge. Her memoir serves as "a testament to the world that trans women are dreamers like everyone else, but more importantly to exemplify that trans women are achievers above all." During this talk back with Daliah, she will read an excerpt from her book, engage with us in a conversation about her lived experience as a trans woman, being an author, and an entrepreneur.
