Finishing First: First-Generation Students, Faculty, Staff, and Allies Celebrate the Semester’s End

12/05/17

Contributed by Erica Shockley

The first-generation community at Ithaca College is invited to celebrate the end of another semester with fellowship and light refreshments.

Thursday, December 14
4:30-5:30pm
Peggy Ryan Williams (PRW) Lobby

Are you the first in your family to pursue a bachelor’s degree? Then you are a member of the first-generation community, and we are proud to have you as part of the larger Ithaca community!

While the definition of being first-generation is broad, making connections with individuals who share an understanding of your unique experience is significantly important. So you are wholeheartedly invited to join us for this informal, drop-in celebration to meet IC’s first-generation community, enjoy light refreshments, and celebrate another semester of achievement.

This event is sponsored by the First-Generation Working Group in collaboration with the First-Generation Student Organization. Please contact Erica Shockley in the Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs (607-274-1908 / eshockley@ithaca.edu) with any questions about this event.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact OSEMA by phone at 607-274-1908 or email at fye@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
