Please join us on Tuesday, January 23 as we celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of First-Generation college students in conjunction with the first anniversary of the Public Safety Satellite Office.  This event is a partnership between the First-Generation Student Organization and Public Safety, and will occur at 12:15 p.m. at the Public Safety Satellite Office in the Campus Center.

We especially encourage First-Generation students among IC’s students, staff, and faculty to participate and be acknowledged.  The First-Generation Student Organization uses the following definition of a First-Generation student: “A first-generation college student is someone who does not have at least one live-in parent or guardian that has graduated from a four-year residential college.”

We hope to see you for celebratory remarks, cake and coffee, and the premiere of "First-Gens of Ithaca: Student" (Part 1 of the Unity Campaign), as we recognize everything that First-Generation students bring to our Ithaca College community, as well as one year of the Public Safety Satellite Office being available as a support resource for that community!  We look forward to bringing together students, staff, and faculty to fill the Campus Center lobby area at 12:15 on Tuesday, January 23 in celebration of our First-Gens and the Satellite Office!
