The Diversity & Inclusion Discussion Circle has invited Dr. Cyndy Scheibe to discuss the “Fake News" phenomenon and offer tips on how to evaluate news sources this Wednesday, January 31 at noon in the Campus Center, Klingenstein Lounge.
Dr. Scheibe is a professor in the Psychology department here at Ithaca College. She is also the founder and executive director of Project Look Sharp, a media literacy initiative of Humanities & Sciences that provides support, materials and training for the integration of media literacy across the curriculum in K-12 and post-secondary education.
Faculty, staff, and students -- please join us on January 31st as we discuss developing effective habits of inquiry for analyzing media messages and key questions to ask ourselves when we create our own media messages.
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Tammy Sritecha at tsritecha@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-1501. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
(Please email a request to tsritecha@ithaca.edu if you would like to join the D&I Discussion Circle Sakai site.)
