The award-winning documentary at the Sundance film festival is a personal account of Jennifer Brea, who is about to marry the love of her life when she’s struck down by a fever that leaves her bedridden. When doctors tell her “it’s all in her head,” she turns her camera on herself and her community as she looks for answers and fights for a cure.
A post film discussion with Maureen Hanson (Cornell University) and Betsy Keller (Ithaca College) with audience Q&A will follow. Hanson and Keller, along with colleagues from CU-Ithaca and Weill Cornell Medicine/NYC, are collaborating on a 5-yr. $9.4 million grant awarded to Dr. Hanson by NIH to fund one of three centers nationwide for the study of ME/CFS.
