Performance and modeling auditions for the 2018 Prism Drag Show open soon! Both new and returning participants must audition.
The 2018 Prism Drag Show will be taking over Emerson Suites May 4th, 2018, at 8 PM, and it's your time to show us what you've got!
It's the same set-up as last year, two themed runways with performances, but this year we're having auditions so you can confirm your performance ahead of time and workshop it. Both models and performers must audition, but the requirements are a bit different.
All people interested in being a part of the performance must audition. New performers, have no fear, we're looking for dedication and effort, so show us what you can do and we'll work with you! Returning performers, we know what you've done in the past, but now, it's time to kick it up a notch and show us how you've grown!
For all performers, auditions can be in-person or submitted as a video. Live auditions will take place on February 18th, 2018 at 2 PM to 4 PM in Job 160. Auditions are only 5 minutes including prep time, so plan your audition to be about 2 minutes long. Sign up for an audition time at https://doodle.com/poll/suvq694qsqsqs3u8 and we'll email you to confirm your audition. Performances should be made in drag, with full outfit and makeup if possible. If you have any questions about this, contact us ASAP.
Video submissions should be about the same length, and should be in full drag (makeup and outfit). The video and audio should be clear enough so that we can see what you're showing us.
No additional performances will be accepted after the auditions, so this is your chance to get yourself on the stage come May 4th!
Don't forget, all performers must do runways, but models are not required to do a performance.
For models, we ask that you send us some videos and/or pictures of you and a couple of your best looks for the runway. There is no theme for auditions, so just give us an idea of what you can do so we know you'll tear up the runway in May.
We're also looking for people to help out with the technical side of the performance. If you're interested in being a PA, photographer, videographer, or anything like that, we're always looking for more help, so if you want to show off your stuff behind the camera, let us know!
Please send questions, comments, and concerns to jsimpson1@ithaca.edu or come to our weekly general body meetings on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM in Friends 301.
