Interests & Careers: Group Exploration Using the Strong Interest Inventory

The Strong Interest Inventory measures career and leisure interests and is used to aid people in making educational and career decisions. In these sessions (offered every other week) students will learn the components of John Holland’s Theory of Career Choice (on which the Strong Interest Inventory is based) and determine their own “Holland Code,” as well as receive their own customized Strong Interest Inventory College Report*.

TIME:             4 - 4:50 p.m.
LOCATION:   Career Services

 

*Registration on Handshake is required by 3 p.m. the previous day*
*Students MUST take the SII assessment 
no later than 2 p.m. the day of the workshop if they wish to receive a SII Career Report.

**For instructions on accessing the Strong online assessment, please come to the Office of Career Services, 101 Muller**

 

To sign up for an Strong Interest Inventory Group Interpretation session, students must register using their Handshake account:

  1. Go to: https://ithaca.joinhandshake.com/
  2. Log in using your Netpass information
  3. On the left navigation panel, click on “Events”
  4. Click on the session/date you wish to attend
  5. Click the "Join Event" button
