A new session has been added: STUDENT LEADERS PANEL. Sophomores: Have you been considering getting more involved in leadership positions on campus, but aren't sure where to start? A new breakout session has been added to the Sophomore SOAR Symposium for you to hear from and ask questions of current student leaders from various positions across campus.
Join us on Wednesday, February 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Emerson Suites for the first ever Sophomore SOAR Symposium! [Come when you get out of class, stop by the info fair, attend a couple sessions, whatever fits into your schedule!]
The Sophomore SOAR Symposium is a new program, funded by the President’s Seed Grant Initiative, designed to connect sophomores to Support, Opportunities, Advice, and Resources from across campus in a fun, interactive, meaningful way. Attendees will enjoy an event that not only provides opportunities to enhance academic and professional success, but also encourages social interaction and community building. There will be hot food, table activities, raffles for some IC swag, a FREE GIFT for the first 100 students who sign in, and the grand prize: AN APPLE WATCH!

To sign up for this event, register in Handshake. Come to the info fair, come to a couple sessions, whatever fits into your schedule! Attire for this event is casual. Attending from at least 5-7 p.m. qualifies for 2 SLI credits in Leading Self. Students must be present at the closing session to win the GRAND PRIZE.
The Center for Academic Advancement, Career Services, and OSEMA created this event for sophomores, funded by the President's Seed Grant Initiative. We are excited to be implementing programming to help sophomore students have a successful year and make the most out of their campus experience!
