Ithaca Seminar Coordinator Position Available

A three year appointment (with possibility of renewal) as Ithaca Seminar Coordinator is open to interested faculty. The person in this position provides leadership in the ongoing oversight, faculty development, and assessment of the Ithaca Seminar, oversees the first year ICC kickoff events, and works collaboratively with the Director of the ICC and faculty and staff across campus on Ithaca Seminar scheduling and programming. The Ithaca Seminar Coordinator position is open only to tenured faculty members or senior (associate level or above) continuing NTEN faculty. The appointed individual will receive a summer stipend (beginning in summer 2019), nine credits of reassigned time during the academic year, and will report to the Vice Provost. Part-time administrative support is in place for this role. Interested individuals should send a letter of interest and a current vita to djohnson@ithaca.edu. Materials should be submitted no later than Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Appointment is expected to begin in August, 2018 and the selected individual would be able to shadow the current incumbent until that time. 

The ideal applicant will possess an enthusiastic commitment to the Ithaca Seminar and to the first-year student experience and the ICC more broadly, as well as credibility with faculty across campus and work with curriculum development. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
