Important Funding Updates for Student Orgs!

 Allocating returned funds and 2018 Fall Funding:

SGC has received limited returned funds from student organizations from the 2017-2018 budget. Moving forward, the Appropriations Committee will first reach out to the student organizations that were scheduled to be heard on February 7th (the day the funds were initially exhausted) following a first come, first serve format. 

If these organizations are no longer in need of funding, the remaining returned funds will be opened up for other organizations to request.

Additionally, the Fall Funding Process is now open until April 29, 2018 at 11:59PM!

The Fall Funding Process exists to provide student organizations the opportunity to request and receive funds for fall 2018 before leaving for summer. This is a great way to ensure your organization hits the ground running at the start of next semester!

Student organizations who receive funds through this process will be able to use their funds as soon as they have completed the recognition process in the fall with OSEMA, and will NOT have to wait for the SGC Appropriations Committee meetings to start in late September-early October. In other words, you get a head start!

To be eligible to participate in the Fall Funding Process, student organizations must be in good standing with OSEMA and be requesting fall operational, and/or programming/travel/fundraising loan(s) that are to occur within Block I of the fall semester.

If a budget proposal is submitted for an event occurring after Block I of the upcoming fall semester, the organization will not be allowed to participate in the Fall Funding Process and must wait until the Appropriations Committee reconvenes after the start of the next academic year to submit their budget proposal.

To participate in the Fall Funding Process, follow the steps listed on our website, and submit a funding request form prior to April 29, 2018 at 11:59PM.
