Finalists for the Vice President for Finance and Administration will visit campus with open sessions for faculty, staff, and students on April 12, 16, and 17, 2018.
Dear Members of the Ithaca College Community,
Since my last update, the search has moved forward significantly.
After rigorous review of a diverse pool of strong candidates, the search committee narrowed the pool down to 10. We then spent several days last week meeting with and learning more about each of these candidates.In addition, President Collado met individually with each; she then joined the committee for a thoughtful conversation about the strengths of each and how best to move forward.
After considerable discussion and following the recommendation of the committee, President Collado instructed our search consultants to invite three of the candidates to advance in the search as finalists for this critical position. These three candidates have been invited to campus for a round of meetings.
As President Collado has noted, our senior leadership searches will be structured so as to incorporate as much candidate exposure and community input as the top candidates in that search believe they can commit to. For this search, each finalist has indicated an ability to engage with as many IC community members as might be interested in participating. Accordingly, President Collado and the search committee are pleased to extend an invitation to meet with each of our finalists and submit to us your thoughts and impressions.
While we are not at liberty to share the names of the candidates at this time, we will share the professional resumes of each, roughly one day in advance of that person’s visit. We hope this process will enable those throughout our community to attend sessions for each candidate, at which they will be able to hear from and learn about each, ask questions, and share thoughts about the important priorities ahead for the new VPFA.
