The Division of Student Affairs and Campus Life would like to invite the campus community to join us as we celebrate and honor Rory Rothman on his retirement after 34 years of service on Monday, April 30th from 4:00-6:00 pm in Clark Lounge.
Rory began his long career at Ithaca College as the Assistant Director for Housing Services and Judicial Affairs in 1984. His patient, caring, and thoughtful demeanor helped him rise through the student affairs organization in the positions of Director of Judicial Affairs, Director of Residential Life and Judicial Affairs, Associate VP for Student Affairs and Campus Life, ultimately culminating his career as the Associate Provost for Student Life.
Rory is known throughout campus for always putting the growth and development of students and his advocacy for their needs first in all of his interactions. Rory is also known for his skills and commitment to the faculty/staff/student lunchtime basketball games. Rory offered leadership to the student affairs division for a number of years and ensured that the division stayed student centered. Rory has served as a mentor, friend and source of consultation and support to many students, staff and faculty members throughout his career. Please join us as we celebrate Rory’s career and tremendous dedication to IC over the years!
