The Teaching and Learning with Technology (IT) team is exploring augmented reality, virtual reality and 360 video with visiting guest expert, Becky Lane, Ph.D. We are offering a series of learning opportunities in April and May.
STUDENTS! You are welcome to come to any session but come to the drop in hours to get your hands on some VR gear like the Oculus or Vive!

AR/VR Basics [Register]
This session will provide an overview to immersive media, technologies, applications in education and beyond.
Introduction to 360 Video Production [Register]
This session will show some examples of 360 video and how to get started. A Garmin Virb, Yi 360, and VUZE+ for stereoscopic 360 video will be featured.
Drop in for some hands-on experiences with Oculus and VIVE [No registration needed]
Becky will hosting drop-in sessions for anyone to come in and try 3D painting, explore human anatomy in 3D, or watch short 360 films using the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and mobile VR gear.
Location: All sessions are open to all faculty,staff, or students and are in Job 103, the Faculty Learning Space.
Becky is the owner of a startup, VisionLab360, and has experience as an educator, filmmaker, and immersive media producer. She’ll be on campus part time throughout the rest of spring semester.
