It's getting warmer outside and that means that ticks are more active too! The Center for Health Promotion is holding two tabling events to help IC be tick free!
On April 27th, our staff will be in the North Foyer from 12pm-2pm and on May 2nd, we will be in the lobby of the Campus Center from 12pm-2pm.
We will be giving away tick removal kits, tick tattoos, stickers, and have an activity that will test your ability to find ticks on bagels!! (That's right, we said ticks on bagels!)
Tick removal and bite prevention is extremely important because of the prevalence of ticks in our area. Tick borne illness, such as Lyme Disease, spread through tick bites. For more information, head to the NY State Department of Health website and come to one of our tabling events and get your free tick removal kit!
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Kristen Lind at klind@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3136. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
