Contributed by David Harker

Ithaca College is partnering with the Food Bank of the Southern Tier to once again bring a mobile food pantry to our campus. The food pantry will be back next week - Wednesday, May 2nd, in the A&E Center! This is the final time the mobile food pantry will be on campus this semester, but it will return next academic year.

The Mobile Food Pantry is used to deliver fresh produce, dairy products, and other food and grocery items directly to distribution sites where people need food. These food items are available free of charge. More info on the Mobile Food Pantry program can be found here

The Mobile Food Pantry is open to any and all members of the IC community. There are no qualifications for this program. Transportation to several destinations on campus will be provided by public safety.

NEW & IMPORTANT INFO: All Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry Sites will begin to use an electronic check-in system. Please fill out the following electronic form at least 24 hours before the next mobile food pantry on campus:   https://ithaca.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8bI40xtJlIHfFv7

More information about the electric check-in system can be found here.

When? Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018 – Noon to 1pm

Information on additional Tompkins County food pantry locations, days, and hours is available here.

Where? A&E Center, by the loading docks. Please line up outside.

BYOB (Bring Your Own Bag/Box) - The Food Pantry provides quite a bit of food to choose from. IC will provide bags and boxes available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, please feel free to bring your own large, sturdy bags or boxes. Short term parking is also available near the mobile pantry and transportation will be available to any on-campus addresses (including Circles Apartments).

Interested in Donating? Your donation will go a long way to feed more people in need who are struggling with hunger today. $1 purchases 3 meals for neighbors across the Southern Tier who need a helping of hope and food. The mobile food pantry is not able to take donations of food on site. Donations: https://www.foodbankst.org/give-a-gift
