This year, twenty students and two faculty members have been honored by membership in the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society. The Sigma Xi motto is: "Companions in Zealous Research", a phrase that describes these scientists well. Founded in 1886, Sigma Xi is the international honor society of scientists and engineers who are elected to membership because of their research achievements or potential. The honorees were introduced by their research mentors at the banquet of the Paulen A Smith Chapter, which is celebrating its Fifty-third year at Ithaca College.

Congratulations to the students and faculty members for their outstanding research accomplishments and this well-deserved honor!
