What Degree Evaluation system do I use for my Advisee?

Degree Works or HomerConnect? Here is how to find your student

Students with a catalog year beginning fall 2016 with an expected graduation date of fall 2018 forward
- Degree Works
Regardless of the student’s catalog year, all students with an expected graduation date of May 2018 or Summer 2018 and all student with a catalog year prior to fall 2016
- HomerConnect
All graduate students
- HomerConnect

Things to Remember:

Prior to submitting a course waiver substitution (CWS) make sure one is needed by:
- Generating a degree evaluation per the guidelines above
- DW has provided us the opportunity to automate requirements, a CWS may no longer be needed
For Degree Works students, CWS will only be processed in DW therefore you must use DW to ensure accuracy.
Best practice to access Degree Works is https://degreeworks.ithaca.edu or https://apps.ithaca.edu/
If all else fails, in DW enter the student ID, or look in your drop down list, if the student does not appear go to HomerConnect

How to find your advisees Catalog Term:

· Log into HomerConnect

· Select View Student Information

· Select Advisee Listing

· Select the Current Term

· Find the student and select View under the Student Information Column

· Scroll down to the Curriculum Information and locate the Catalog Term
