FINAL STUDENT MAIL AND PACKAGES BEFORE SUMMER
05/08/18
Contributed by Peter Schlough
All residential mailrooms are closed during the summer
Beginning Mon 5/14, no new mail will be sorted to mailboxes
- Older mail which was received before this date will still be available in mailboxes until 5/21 for non-Circles and 7/8 for Circles
- All new letter mail (except Circles, see below) will be held at the Mail Center through the commencement move out date of Mon 5/21. Please call 607-274-3371 to ask if we received anything new for you.
- Packages will also continue to be sent to Phillips Hall Post Office and notifications will be emailed, as normal, until the commencement move out date of 5/21.
- Circles residents will have new mail sent to the Phillips Hall Post Office. An email notification will let you know if you have new letter mail and/or packages, until the final Circles move out date on 7/8.
After these final dates, students who moved out of Ithaca will have any remaining unclaimed mail and/or packages pulled from mailboxes, Phillips Hall Post Office, and the Mail Center.
- We will immediately begin forwarding everything eligible to the permanent home address on file.
- NOTE: Only US Mail can be forwarded at no cost. All other carriers require additional payment to ship packages to a new address. As such, we automatically return to sender such packages unless new shipping is arranged with us in advance. Please contact us if you need assistance doing this (607-274-3371, or icmailservice@ithaca.edu ).
- Any further mail or packages received after the final dates will automatically be forwarded home, or returned as needed.
If you are living in Ithaca for the summer, you may have mail and packages held for pickup at the Phillips Hall Post Office (see SUMMER HOLD MAIL)
