The Division of Student Affairs and Campus Life would like to invite the campus community to join us as we celebrate and honor Deb Harper on her retirement today from 4:00-6:00 pm in Clark Lounge.
Deb began her nearly 25 year career with Ithaca College’s Counseling, Health and Wellness department in the fall of 1993 as a counselor. She later moved into the position of coordinator of training and then outreach. In 2003, she became interim director of the Counseling Center and was part of the merging of Counseling and Wellness in 2009. In 2014, she became director of Counseling, Health and Wellness.
Deb is best known for her wisdom, care, integrity and a fantastic sense of humor. Her great understanding of individual mental health and campus wellness has created an environment in which faculty, staff and students are more aware of student mental health. Deb co-founded the Student Service Support Network to provide support and learning opportunities for staff on campus who provide important direct services to students. Deb has been an inspiration to those who have come through the doors of Counseling, Health and Wellness. Please join us as we celebrate Deb’s career and tremendous dedication to IC over the years!
If you would like to contribute to Deb’s retirement gift, please contact Brittany McCown or Brandi Riker (Center for Counseling, Health and Wellness, 274-3136).
