Second EV Charging Station at Circle Apartments

The Office of Energy Management & Sustainability is pleased to announce a second two-vehicle charging station will be available for electric vehicle drivers beginning Friday, 25 May 2018. A result of a successful grant application and as a part of Ithaca College’s Commitment to carbon neutrality by 2050, we are excited to partner with ChargePoint to install our second EV charging station.

ChargePoint is the world’s largest network of independently owned and operated EV charging stations with over 30,000 charging stations worldwide, providing driver access to charge on the go.

Location: College Circle Apartments Community Center

Parking: Parking spaces are for EV charging only

Usage Fees: Charging stations are free to use up to 4 hours

How to Start a Charging Session

Sign up to get a free card. If you aren’t a ChargePoint member yet, you are required to sign up.
Activate your card. When your card arrives by mail, just log in, go to My Account, and follow the instructions under Set Up ChargePoint Card. You can find more help with ChargePoint cards here.
Download the mobile app for additional features (optional).
Start charging your vehicle. Tap your ChargePoint card over the reader symbol, press the handle button to remove the charging connector, and simply plug in. After you’re done, tap your card to end the session, then unplug the connector and return it to the station. You can also sign up and start a session all from the ChargePoint app.
