Chrissy Guest, Assistant Professor, Media Arts, Sciences, and Studies, was one of seven invited judges for this year’s Rod Serling Film Festival.

Guest regularly incorporates the Ithaca College’s Rod Serling Archive in her Fiction Field Production curriculum. She created an assignment that further explores the social responsibility themes Rod Serling weaved into the Twilight Zone narratives and challenges students to consider the impact of their story choices. Students also use the archive to research Rod Serling’s unique storytelling style. Guest presented the “Twilight Zone Crossover” assignment at the 2015 UFVA conference and has presented her student’s work during Ithaca College library events.

This Festival is held in of honor Rod Serling and his work, which has had a lasting influence on the television industry and media creation.  The Festival seeks to inspire the next generation of filmmakers. This year’s festival takes place July 6th and 7th. For more information and festival tickets visit http://www.rodserling.com
