Swim Lessons Sign Ups
Open Sign ups for Summer Swim Lessons are posted, additional lesson session maybe posted as the summer continues, https://recreation.ithaca.edu/
Level 1: Has never taken swim lessons and is unable to swim without the assistance of another person.
Level 2: Child is comfortable enough to put head and face underwater and swim independently with the assistance of a floatation device in shallow water.
Level 3: Can swim at least 20 yards continuously with minimal to no assistance, using doggie paddle or a basic front crawl. Has a basic introduction to treading and diving.
Level 4: Able swim laps continuously without assistance. Has a basic knowledge of front crawl, Back crawl, and breaststroke. Can perform standing dive at edge of pool.
