Seeking applicants for Interim Director of the Integrative Core Curriculum

Applications are being accepted for a one year interim appointment as Interim Director of the Integrative Core Curriculum. The person in this position provides leadership in the ongoing implementation and assessment of the Integrative Core Curriculum, serves as liaison to the Committee on College-wide Requirements, advances the electronic learning portfolio, and works collaboratively with the Ithaca Seminar Coordinator and faculty, staff, and students across campus. 

The Interim Director of the Integrative Core Curriculum position is open to tenured faculty members or senior (associate level or above) NTEN faculty. The appointed individual will teach one course each semester, preferably in the Integrative Core Curriculum, with the remainder of his/her time assigned to administering the ICC. An experienced support staff person is in place to assist the Interim Director. Interested individuals should send a letter of interest and a current vita to the Vice Provost (djohnson@ithaca.edu). Materials should be submitted no later than July 25, 2018. Appointment is expected to begin August 16, 2018 and to end May 31, 2019. The individual serving in the interim role will be eligible to apply for the ongoing role when it is advertised during the 2018-19 academic year.

The ideal applicant will possess an enthusiastic commitment to the ICC as well as credibility with faculty across campus and work with curriculum development and implementation. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
