Many departments are currently making arrangements for staffing for Fall opening. Some offices will need to bring their student staff back early to support opening operations. Please review our fall early arrival information online as you plan for Fall 2018.
The earliest date and time that may be requested to arrive for the Fall 2018 semester is 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2018. Students must have received prior approval by the Office of Residential Life through the Early Arrival Request Form system in order to check into their assignment before the official opening on Saturday, August 25, 2018. Please note that the College Circle Apartments open on August 19th to all Circles residents and so students living in this location do not need an early arrival request approved.
If a student is being required to arrive early due to on-campus employment, athletics, academics, or organization involvement the early arrival request must be submitted by the student’s employment supervisor, coach, academic advisor, or other IC staff or faculty member. Requests will be approved when possible, depending on reason and availability of the specific room or apartment assignment.
We encourage you to provide meal arrangements for any employees you are bringing back early. If your department wishes to make meal plan arrangements, please contact the Office of Campus Center and Event Services. Otherwise, please notify your students that they can purchase IC Bonus Bucks through Dining Services to use at IC Dining Retail locations and off-campus at participating businesses. Students who do not have special arrangements cannot eat in the dining hall until Saturday, August 25, 2018.
