Daniel Pascoe Aguilar, Executive Director of Career Services, will be leaving Ithaca College to serve as Associate Provost for Experiential Education & Career Development at Drew University.  Daniel brought to our campus community his visionary and inclusive leadership, warmth and genuine sincerity, and unwavering commitment to student success.  I am deeply appreciative of the innovative approach he has taken in his role.  Daniel’s last day will be Friday, September 7.

Over the course of the past year under Daniel’s leadership, the career services team has made significant improvements to how IC’s career center supports the development and professional success of our students and alumni, introducing a career communities model that stresses career readiness, networking, identity and intercultural competence.

Caryanne Keenan, Senior Assistant Director of Career Services, has accepted a position at Cornell University as Assistant Director and Manager of the Career Exploration Unit within Cornell University's central Career Services office.  Her last day at IC will be Friday, August 10.  Having worked at Ithaca College since 2009, Caryanne has made a significant impact on the lives of so many IC students and alumni during her tenure.  She has led countless workshops, overseen our peer career advisors, developed new programming and resources, and worked tirelessly with individual students and alumni to help them meet their professional goals.  She is a true student advocate.

While we will truly miss both of our colleagues, we celebrate their many accomplishments and congratulate them as they move on to pursue the next steps on their professional paths.

I am also happy to announce that Kristin LiBritz ‘98 will be returning to Ithaca College to serve as Executive Director of Career Services on an interim basis for the coming academic year, as we begin a search for the next Executive Director.  Kristin’s professional career at IC began in 1999.  She served as Employer Relations Coordinator from 2007 to 2011 and Assistant Director of Employer Relations from 2011 to 2014, and held positions in our admission office prior to that.  Since leaving IC, Kristin has led career services efforts at Cornell University, and currently holds the position of Director of Career Management at the SC Johnson College of Business.  Kristin holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Ithaca College and a master’s degree in higher education administration from Syracuse University.  She is looking forward to joining our team, collaborating across campus to further the development of career communities, and supporting our students and alumni in their career and professional development.  Kristin will begin her new role on Tuesday, September 4.
