The women’s swimming and diving team will be offering their annual Fall Swim Lessons! This is a great opportunity to refine swimming skills before next summer! Whether you or your child wants to continue growing in the pool after the previous fall lessons, they need work on refining their strokes and turns, or if you’re training for a triathlon, the swim team is here to help! We invite all different ages and skill abilities to participate.

A member of the team will teach participants in either a private lesson or in a group of two.  We are offering 30 minute lessons; or for a person older than 5 and of a lap swimming level he/she may sign up 2 consecutive sessions (hour long lesson). The sessions are 10:00-10:30, 10:45-11:15, 11:30-12:00.

These sessions will not be holding make-up dates.

We will be offering five lessons on the following dates:
September 8th
September 15th
September 22rd
September 29th
October 6th

The fee for five 30-minute lessons will be $65.00; if an hour lesson is desired, the participant must sign up for 2 consecutive times at a fee of $130.00. Please register by going to (recreation.ithaca.edu), click on the Aquatics, then down to Semester and choose Fall Semester 2018, and the Women's Swim and Dive Team lessons will be displayed. There is limited space in each session, and it will be on a first come basis. Additional slots may open as we get closer to the start date of the lessons (this all depends on the number of instructors that we will have).

Please arrive for the first lesson on September 8th fifteen minutes before the start of your lesson. Enter the pool by going through the Visiting Team Locker Rooms and meet at the record board end of the facility (north end).  You will meet your instructor and have an opportunity to discuss your goals for the program.  Participants should bring their own suit and towel and a padlock for a locker if you wish.  The College and its personnel are not responsible for lost, stolen articles, or valuables.  Parents are encouraged to stay and watch the lessons.

If you have any questions regarding the registration process or the lessons you may email or call Paula Miller, IC Women’s Head Coach at 607-274-3119 or Caroline Bissaillon, Student Office Assistant.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Paula Miller or call (607) 274-3119. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
