As we begin a new academic year, I am pleased to announce several new and expanded initiatives designed to address matters pertaining to faculty development and other efforts to strengthen our commitment to inclusive excellence. With updates and specific invitations coming soon, here is what to expect in the weeks ahead:

- Open office hours with the H&S Dean, Associate Dean, & Director of Faculty Diversity & Development for H&S Chairs to discuss faculty development & mentorship of their junior faculty.
- The creation of a moderated roundtable series entitled, “Secrets to my Success,” featuring H&S faculty providing insight into areas like academic publishing & teaching excellence.
- Expanded faculty success focus-groups for H&S junior faculty.
- A pilot launch of cross-departmental mutual mentoring groups for early-career tenure-eligible H&S faculty.
- Expanded mentoring of H&S pre & post-doc fellows, in addition to more frequent meetings with the H&S Dean, Associate Dean, Director of Faculty Diversity & Development and hosting department chairs.
