Sponsored Research encourages faculty and staff to take advantage of two internal funding initiatives, ACE and REACHE.
The ACE (Advancing Creative Expression) funding program is intended for faculty in the Arts and Humanities working on a pilot or exploratory project. This one-year, internal grant is limited to $2,000 and can support a wide variety of expenses. ACE is for projects that hold the possibility of leading to substantial research programs suitable for support by external funding agencies.

The REACHE (Research to Enhance Academic Collaboration in Higher Education) program seeks to identify and promote promising research at Ithaca College. REACHE funding is intended to support the development of research and scholarly endeavors of IC faculty and staff members, particularly pilot and exploratory projects that hold the possibility of leading to substantial research programs suitable for support by external funding agencies. Depending on the pool of proposals and the amount of REACHE funding available, proposals with well-justified budgets ranging from $500 to $8,000 will be considered.
