Provost La Jerne Terry Cornish seeks to enhance the visibility and recognition of faculty for their scholarship and creative projects through a new post-sabbatical colloquium series. Presenters will share from the research and/or creative activity they engaged in during their sabbatical. Through the series, the entire Ithaca College community will have an opportunity to take part in the revitalization that stems from new knowledge and creative inquiry.
Please join us for an intellectually and aesthetically stimulating event on Thursday, September 2O.
Our speakers/artists will be:
Deborah Martin, Professor of Music, with special guest singer, Brad Hougham
“Change of Plans: Arm-ageddon”
Jennifer Germann, Associate Professor of Art History
“Between History and Representation: Gender, Race, and Rank in Eighteenth-Century British Portraiture”
Peter Melcher, Professor of Biology
“Ecophysiological assessment of a coastal invasive species on the islands of Puerto Rico”
Facilitator: Stephen Sweet, Dana Professor of Sociology
There will be light refreshments available from 4 PM on with a wine and cheese reception upon the conclusion of the presentations.
Please mark your calendar for the second colloquium in the series on September 27.
