Demo Day by Teaching and Learning with Technology
Come try a selection of curated VR experiences designed to get you thinking about how immersive technology can be used in your teaching and learning. We’ve chosen the latest games and videos for you to explore!
When: Friday 10/12/18 10am-1pm
Where: Job Hall 102
Music, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Recreation majors, try BEAT SABER - on the Oculus Rift.
○ Beat Saber is a VR rhythm game, where your goal is to slash the beats which fit perfectly into precisely handcrafted music.
Journalism, TVR , Sociology, Theatre Arts Majors- Watch narrative and documentary selections from New York Times’ Daily 360 on the Oculus Go.
○ Times journalists around the world will bring you one new 360 video every day through immersive videos that put you at the center of the scene, allowing you to look left, right, up, down and behind you.
School of Health Sciences and Human Performance try out The Body VR on the HTC Vive.
○ The Body VR is an educational virtual reality experience that takes the user inside the human body. Travel through the bloodstream and discover how blood cells work to spread oxygen throughout the body. Enter one of the billions of living cells inside our body and learn how the organelles work together to fight deadly viruses.
There are experiences for every interest and major and we will help you to find one that fits yours!
If you can’t make demo days, attend our drop in hours every Tuesday 3:00-5:00pm, Wednesday 10:30-11:30am, and Thursday 11:30am-1:00pm.
