Through a new partnership with the Boston University School of Public Health, Ithaca College students will have the opportunity to apply for early acceptance into an accelerated graduate program. The Select Scholar Program (SSP) allows an IC junior from any major to apply to earn their Master of Public Health or Master of Science degree from BUSPH.

Students in any school and major at the College with at least a 3.2 GPA who are recommended by the faculty may apply to the program by February 1 of their junior year.

Applicants do not have to complete graduate school entrance exams or compete against the broader pool of applicants during the typical admission cycle. If accepted, they will be guaranteed admission as long as they maintain their academic standing at IC. Applicants will be informed of their acceptance by March 31 of the year in which they apply.

Students admitted to the SSP will take part in a weeklong summer program between their junior and senior year to connect with the BUSPH community; receive early access to mentoring from faculty, staff, alumni, and current students to explore career opportunities and develop a plan for their career in public health; and receive scholarships to support up to 25 percent of graduate tuition.

For more information on how to apply, contact Stewart Auyash at auyash@ithaca.edu.
