The hard-swingin' Ithaca College Jazz Ensemble will perform a free concert in Ford Hall, Saturday Oct 13 at 8:15pm, along with jazz guitarist Steve Brown. The hard-swingin' Ithaca College Jazz Ensemble will perform a free concert in Ford Hall, Saturday Oct 13 at 8:15pm, along with jazz guitarist Steve Brown.
Steve is Emeritus Professor, having served as Director of Jazz Studies at Ithaca College for 40 years, from 1968 until his retirement in 2008. In addition to performing as a guest soloist, Steve's compositions and arrangements will be featured, with additional pieces by Steve's brother Ray Brown. Also featured on the program will be the music of trombonist/composer/arranger Jack Gale.
