Long-term Care (LTC) insurance is offered by Ithaca College to help you maintain your lifestyle as you age. You are responsible for paying the full cost of this insurance. It helps to pay for assistance with daily basic activities when you’re dealing with an accident, illness or a chronic condition. Long-term care is the care you may need if you are unable to perform daily activities on your own like eating, bathing, dressing, etc. It is intended to help in times when the unforeseen leaves you with less capacity to do these kinds of daily tasks on your own. It helps to reimburse the expenses you incur for covered long term care services.

Unlike traditional health insurance, long-term care insurance is designed to cover long-term services and supports, including personal and custodial care in a variety of settings such as your home, a community organization, or other facility. Having a LTC insurance policy will help you to stay in your home as long as possible.
