Over Winter Break the Ithaca College Catholic Community will be heading to Nazareth Farm, a Catholic community in rural West Virginia that provides home repair for low income homeowners in Doddridge and the surrounding counties. We will spend the week living out and exploring their four Gospel Cornerstones of Prayer, Community, Simplicity and Service.
Retreatants can expect to serve local homeowners through home repair and the ministry of presence. They will also practice hospitality to their fellow retreatants by staying back one day as the home crew cooking, cleaning and creating a welcoming environment all.
This is an amazing week to learn about Catholic Social Teaching, environmental justice, and the richness of Appalachia.
Join us for an information session on Nazareth Farm to find out more about this service opportunity!
