AUDITIONS for ACTING I - Spring 2019 Course

10/22/18

Contributed by Mary Scheidegger

Due to the high demand for seats in Acting I, freshmen and sophomores can rarely enroll in the class. The Department of Theatre Arts is offering one section exclusively for freshmen and sophomores, available by audition.

The class, THEA 13100-04, CRN 41264, is taught by Judith Levitt and meets Spring 2019, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10:50-12:05, in Dillingham Studio 5.

Auditions will be held on Thursday, October 25th, with two sessions: 12:10 to 1:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. No preparation is required. There will be cold readings and/or improvisations. Those who audition will need to arrive at the beginning of the audition session and stay until the end.

Students who have successfully auditioned for the class will receive notification that they may register for the class.

Please sign up for an audition slot and obtain an audition form by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24th at the Department of Theatre Arts Main Office, Dillingham 226. Auditions are limited to 20 persons per session, first come first served.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Mary Scheidegger at scheideg@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3914. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
