Patricia Zimmermann, professor of Screen Studies and codirector of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival, published an article entitled "Thirty Speculations Toward a Polyphonic Model for New Media Documentary," in Alphaville: Journal of Film and Screen MediaIssue 15, Summer 2018. The journal is published by University College Cork in Ireland.
Zimmermann's piece was the lead article in a special issue of the journal exploring the modalities and structures of polyphony in new media art and documentary practices. Her essay expands on arguments in her most recent book, Open Space New Media Documentary: A Toolkit for Theory and Practice (Routledge, 2018).
