Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies Recognized as Best of the Best

Assistant Professor Christopher Klinger accepted the Best of the Best award on behalf of the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies, at the 2018 National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) annual conference, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ithaca College was one of four institutions of Higher Education to receive the Best of the Best award, recognizing their role in training highly effective professionals in the fields of Therapeutic Recreation and Outdoor Adventure Leadership.

The vision of the department is to “be recognized nationally for our work in the character and professional development of students in outdoor adventure leadership and therapeutic recreation.”
