Please join the BOLD Scholars for their second Engaging Mental Health in People of Color (EMPOC) event of the year — Restorative Healing: Self-Care for POC.
At this event, attendees will be able to engage with the idea that self-care is more than bubble baths and face masks for POC — it is a revolutionary act. There will be an interactive Q&A session with Rita Bunatal, Ithaca alumna and founder of Malaika Apparel. The discussion will focus on what authentic self-care means and how people of color can practice it effectively.
All are welcome to attend and participate in these important conversations.
The event will be held at 4 p.m., Nov. 30 in the Peggy Ryan Williams lobby. Refreshments and light snacks will be provided, and a raffle will be held. Follow us on Instagram @icboldwomen for updates and more information.
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact the BOLD scholars at boldwomenlead@gmail.com. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
